Masters of Social Work (M.S.W.) is a two-year postgraduate program which is related to the study of essential humanitarian efforts in a society. The primary focus of the course is on the marginalized and weaker sections of the society who are often suppressed and neglected.The course imparts students knowledge and training related to the upliftment of the marginalized in areas such as education, sanitation, and their welfare. MSW program mainly consists of Foundation Courses, Core Courses and Disciplinary Courses taught in a period of four semesters.The program offers specialisation in the four main areas such as Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Family and Child Welfare, Psychiatric Social Work and Community Development. Social workers work with one agenda in the society; that is to bring a change.

Medical Social Worker: A medical social worker provides the necessary psychosocial support to help patients deal with terminal illnesses or conditions.
Community Development Officer: The role of a community development officer is linked to urban planning, housing needs and evaluation of revival projects within a city or community.
Probation Officer: The role of a probation officer is to arrange rehabilitation services, supervise the criminals and arrange job training.
Rural Development Officer: The rural development officer is responsible for promoting integrated rural development and social upliftment with the aim of improving the standard of living of agricultural workers.
