Occupational Therapy

This course is the field of medicine. The course has been structured to focus on practices of prevention and cure along with rehabilitation. It teaches the students to tackle the physical, emotional as well as mental problems of students and provide a universal cure for the problem or disease. In these programmes, students learn about means to cure patients by modifying the environment of the patient, educating them, and teaching them how to lead a regular life. Occupational therapists work with adults and children of all ages with a wide range of conditions; most commonly those who have difficulties due to a mental health illness, physical or learning disabilities.

Course Eligibility Duration
Diploma in Occupational Therapy 10+2 Science (PCB) 3 years
Under Graduate 10+2 Science (PCB) + 55%+Entrance Exam 4 years
Post Graduate Bachelor of OT/B.Sc.(OT) with 55% 2 years
Post Graduate Diploma Bachelor of OT/B.Sc.(OT) with 55% 1 year
Ph. D. Post Graduate in Occupational Therapy 2 years

Entrance Exam    

Some reputed colleges and institutes conduct entrance test for admission to the course.

Fees   

Depending on the type of institute/quota, fees can range from Rs 60 thousand to Rs 1 lakh / year for Government College; & for Self Financed college’s ranges from Rs 10 to 15 lakh , excluding lodging/boarding expenses
