Cakes, pastries and cookies:-

Good source of energy if consumed in less quantity. They are low in Vitamins, proteins, starches, minerals and are high in fats, sugar and other sweeteners. They contain man made fats that contribute to heart diseases. High sugar content promotes tooth decay.

Baked food and cakes, pastries and cookies are having refined flour (Maida), sugar fat, egg and milk or cream etc which should not be taken in large quantity to prevent many health hazards. Taking cakes, ice-cream, cookies twice or once in a month is ok. But taking thrice a week or everyday it will be harmful for you.

Healthy alternatives: - Carrot cake or dates cake or mixed dry fruit cake with less cream, zucchini, banana breads, oat meal cookies, fruit bar and other baked foods are healthy alternatives.


Hey! We have learned about stretching exercise. Today we are going to do stretching exercise with the help of a stick.

Stick stretching:

  • Take the stick in your hands.
  • Keep the stick on your shoulder with the hands resting on it.
  • Your stick should be longer so that your hands can rest on it perfectly.
  • Then do the turning exercise.
  • Turn the upper part of your body.
  • Turn towards right.
  • Turn towards left.
  • Continue the same for 20 times.
  • You can gradually increase the times.


  • Gives stretch to your hands.
  • When you leave your hands you feel relaxed.
  • Makes abdominal muscles strong.
  Do you share your food, clothes etc with your brother, sister, relatives, neighbours? If the answer is no, this is bad. Sharing with other is not the way to get rich-it is the way to get happy.” So, children, share and increase your happiness.  

Good thought:- Do something for others with no desire of returned favours, like we plant trees under which we may never sit.
