For the admission in air hostess program, the candidate should have the following:

  • Age should be less than 26
  • Minimum height 5”2’
  • Unmarried at the time of application
  • Vision: Normal eyesight or corrected to 6/6 in both the eyes
  • English language proficiency
  • Medically fit
  • Pleasing personality

Entrance Exam    

No entrance examination for Diploma and Certificate courses.

Fees   

Depending on the type of institute/quota/degree, fees can range from INR fifty thousand to INR one-and-a-half lakhs per year.

  • Air Hostess (Female)/Steward (Male): Air hostess/flight stewards are responsible for the comfort, welfare and safety of the passengers on board. Apart from checking the comfort facilities for the travelers they also have the responsibility to check all the emergency arrangements before taking off and landing on the flight.

  • Ground Staff/Crew: They work in various roles at the airport. They ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, including checking in baggage, providing information, assisting disabled passengers, confirming reservations, and selling tickets.

  • Cabin Crew:They are the members of an aircraft crew who attend to passengers. Cabin crew comprises air hostess/stewards, flight attendants and senior flight attendants.

  • Airline and airport Management: Airline and airport management is a branch of study that teaches management of airport and airlines.

  • Flight Attendant and Senior Flight Attendant: The flight attendants instruct how to act in an emergency, prepare and serve meals and just generally take care of the passengers. Senior flight attendants or Pursers (this time they do mean the same thing) are in charge of the whole crew that works with the passengers – they are essentially supervisors of every single operation onboard. They are the more experienced flight attendants and also earn a higher salary.

  • Ground Hostess/Attendant: A ground hostess or attendant is an individual who works for an airline and provides assistance to customers on the ground, while they are still at the airport.
