The UKs work permit programmes include the Training and Work Experience Scheme (TWES), the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) and the Fresh Talent scheme (Scotland).

You are allowed to work anywhere up to a period of twenty hours while studying in the UK. If you get a well paid job in the clothing store or restaurant next to your university, you can accept this employment legally. However, care should be taken that you do not exceed the stipulated 20 hours per week.
