WATER
How many glasses of water do you drink in a day?

Friends, drink water according to your weight i.e. 30 ml of water per one kg of your weight. If your weight is 20 kg,
you should drink 3 glasses of water. If your weight is 60 kg, then drink 9 glasses of water.
The benefits of drinking plenty of water: -  
  • You get minerals.
  • Improves digestion.
  • Cleanses the body well, removing all the toxins from the body.
  • Your skin will remain fresh and glow.
  • Improves the functioning of Kidneys.
   
   
Care to be taken regarding drinking water: -    
  • You should always drink boiled water.
  • You shouldn't eat unhygienic Pani-puri and gola.
  • Sometimes borewell water is hard water so soften it before drinking.
   
 
YOGA AND EXERCISE
 
The exercise for the day is ARDHA MATSYENDRASANA
MATSYENDRANATH was the devotee of Lord Shiva. This asana is named after him.
 
MATSYENDRASANA
 
Method: -
  • Sit on a mat with legs stretched out in front of the body.
  • Bend the right leg at the knee and place the sole of the right foot against the inner side of the left thigh.
  • Bend the left knee and place the left foot on the outer side of the right thigh near the right knee.
  • Inhale and raise the right arm up vertically and stretch up the shoulder.
  • Exhale, twist the wrist to the left and bring the right arm onto the outer side of the left knee. Catch the left toe with right hand.
  • Now take the left hand behind the back and try to touch the right thigh.
  • Look back on the left shoulder keeping the trunk erect.
  • Maintain for 10 counts. Do the same on other side.

  • Makes the spine elastic.
 
Water Facts:
At birth, water accounts for approximately 80 percent of an infant’s body weight. Much more fresh water is stored under the ground in aquifers than on earth’s surface. The same water that existed millions of years ago is still present today. The total amount of water on the earth is about 326 million cubic miles of water. By the time a person feel thirsty, his or her body has lost over 1 percent of its total water.. Loss of water from the body leads to dehydration.
