we all like to hear the story of CHANDA MAMA from our grandparents. But have you ever tried to know about it?
Today, I am going to brief you about it.

  • The Moon is the earth’s natural satellite.
  • It is the nearest to the earth.
  • Its diameter is 3.475 km.
  • It takes 273 days to travel around the Earth.
  • There is no water and atmosphere on the moon.
  • New Moon is a phase of the moon when the moon is not visible from Earth,
because the side of the moon that is facing us is not being lit by the sun.
  • The Full Moon is the lunar phase that occurs when the Moon lies on the opposite side
of Earth from the Sun. The Moon as seen from the surface of the Earth is fully illuminated by the Sun at this time, presenting a "full" round disk to viewers on Earth.
As always, only half the total surface of the Moon is illuminated.
  • Apollo 15 with the crew of 6 members landed on the moon. Apollo 15 was launched on a Saturn V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida at 9:34am EST on July 26, 1971.
  • The first man to land on the moon was Neil Armstrong and Edwin. E.Aldrin in 20 July, 1969.
  • Each day of the moon has 360 hours.

Thinking Zone;
Suppose you are on the moon, start imagining about your and your friends house on the moon. One day
this is going to happen. We will have to build houses on the moon as there will be no place on the earth
to live. So, we have to build the colonies on the moon. Isn’t it exciting and also thoughtful?
The moon actually has mirrors on it. They were left there by astronauts who wanted to bounce laser beams off them, so that the distance to the moon can be measured.

Good thought: - ďIf you get bored by doing some work then just think, if a man can go far away on the moon and come back, Why canít we do our little work?
