Sachin Tendulkar: -

He was born on 24th April 1973. He was crazy about cricket. He played cricket anywhere and anytime in gully, in school. At the age of seven he received the first bat. It was not the best bat but was like gold for him. He used to imagine himself in the Indian team and hitting sixes and people cheering for him. When he was young he loved tennis. He was a keen follower of the tennis player John McEnroe. He got lots of support from his family. His father was not a cricket fan but he understood how to get best out of him. His father always encouraged him. His father trusted him. As Sachin grew older he thought not to misuse his father’s trust.

His father taught him that there is no short cuts, you should continue your playing despite of ups and downs. When Sachin had to choose between the university and cricket, he was allowed to choose cricket. His father told, \ “you can play cricket as I know it is your first love, So go for it.”

Sachin never had an aim of owning a car or wealth but to live everyday of life with grace and honour. His ambition was to wear Indian cap and colours. His childhood dreams had come true. Sachin still dreams that life without dream is flat. He prays to god everyday and thank God for everything he received.

So children, set your ambition and work hard to achieve it.

Sania Mirza:

She was born on 15th November 1986 in Mumbai. When she was 6, her Father Imran Mirza coached her. After knowing the immense talent in her, Sania’s mother coached her.

Sania wanted to be a tennis player from childhood and she maintained balance between her academic and sports activity. She got full support from her family, friends and teachers. Her friends helped her in studies. She was able to get 63% in her SSC exam despite of her hectic workout schedule from 5.00 a.m. to 7.00 in the evening. When she first played tennis, her parents were unsure and support was not easily obtained to her. With her courage and hard work she was able to convince her parents that she had talent in her. Showing her dedication towards tennis, her parents helped her. Her ideal was Steffi Graf. Sania dreamt of coming among the top 20 women tennis player in the world. She knew her strength and weaknesses. She enjoyed swimming and listening to music. In her free time she loved watching TV and listening to music. She is a small girl but with big wins and wings.

She is the youngest Indian girl to win the Junior Wimbledon Championship Trophy.

Sometime we get inspired by one personality, word, thought etc. Whenever I showed laziness in my work my mother use to say,” people went to moon and you can’t even do small work. I was motivated by her words. Today we have told you about Sachin and Sania, learn from there life. I have told you that smart people learn from other’s experience.
