FOOD : -  
Can you imagine your food without fruits and vegetables? No, of course. We should take 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday. It contains Minerals, Vitamins, Phytochemical, Fibre etc.

Good choice of fruits and vegetables: -

  • 5 different pieces of fruits with skin.
  • ½ cup of sweet corn.
  • 1 small baked potato.
  • 1 cup green beans.
  • 1 cup broccoli.
Unhealthy choice: -
  • French fries.
  • Frozen fruits made with syrup.
 
YOGA-EXERCISE
Today we are going to do Strong Warrior
Method:-
  • Stand up straight.
  • Take a giant step back.
  • Breath in and reach your arms over your ears.
  • Bend the left knee.
  • Hold the position and breath in and out..
  • When you are ready to come up bring your feet together.
  • Try doing the pose with the other leg.
Benifits:
  • Stretches the leg muscles and strengthenS your legs.
Taste development:

Many of you might be grumbling when your mother prepares food which you don’t like why? Because you have cultivated a taste for particular items only. You have wrong notions about one particular thing/ vegetable and you start disliking it without tasting it. This is not fair. Have you ever seen a saint eating? Saints have not cultivated tastes of food. They have controlled their senses. So, they mix all the food together and eat. We find it tasteless but the saints enjoys that food. So, children, you should also have this kind of attitude for food. No doubt, we should eat tasty food but should eat all kinds of food with all kinds of nutrients. You should keep in mind that we should eat to live. We should not live to eat. Cultivate the habit of eating whatever comes in your plates and that also with interest.

 

Good thought: - When you are angry, a great deal of energy is used up and wasted. So use energy wisely for good work and good thoughts
