NEET Exams
Back

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is national level medical entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The entrance exam is undertaken by students to get admission into MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seats in the government and private medical colleges across India.

It is to be noted that NEET has replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and other state level or college level exams conducted by state government institutions or private institutions of the state. That means for admission in MBBS and BDS courses only NEET score will be accepted by all medical colleges in India.

However, in the year 2016 Medical Council of India has exempted AIIMS & JIPMER to conduct their own entrance test without imposing NEET. Hence AIIMS medical entrance test & JIPMER medical entrance test will not be discontinued despite NEET-UG. But the rule is subject to change; kindly refer to official website of NEET/Medical entrance test.

NEET is applicable for admissions to the following
